5 out of 5 stars great   December 22, 2009
amazon junkie
You wont be disappointed in this pedal. Great sound and for a price tag under $20 who can complain!

1 out of 5 stars Never even worked   December 9, 2009
Mike Weber
So I got this yesterday and it doesn't even work. Fresh battery--nothing. Two different 9V adapters--nothing. Contacted customer support and they said they'd send me a new one if I mailed the defective one in. Why would I pay like $5 or $6 to ship this pack when its THEIR faulty product and it only cost $18 in the first place? So looks like I'll try to refund it through Amazon or use it as a doorstop (if it's even heavy/sturdy enough to use it as such). Thanks for nothing, Danelectro.

5 out of 5 stars Great Pedal   December 1, 2009

I love how inexpensive, and yet how very effective this pedal is. If you're on a tight budget Danelectro is a great buy.

1 out of 5 stars What's the point spending money for nothing?   November 30, 2009
Thierry Schlag (USA)
This pedal is the best marketing I've ever experienced. As far as I know, it's the utter exemple of modern, cheap, throwable piece of equipement, the perfect counter-example of sustainable economy. It's so cheap you can't even justify spending $5 or $10 in gas to return it to the shop or mailing it back.
I bought it to chain it to other (and more reliable) distortion pedals to get atotally trash sound and experiment on various harmonics. All the other equip[ement worked fine so far, except this one, which just go the "quick die award". After less than 45mn of use, it just gave up, and now refuses to switch on. too bad, 'cause the blue led was kinda cute...

the sound was just a distortion, nothing less, nothing more. it was an unbeatable price, provided it was working... which it isn't.

the only positive aspect of this thing is its bright red color whoch makes it look nice if you want to give it away for Christmas. Add a crappy guitar to it, a cheap amp, and you'll be a hero for you little nephew. Plus, you won't pay for the repair!.

otherwise, stay away from this thing.

5 out of 5 stars Better than my amp's overdrive.   October 17, 2009
Scripture Studier (WI,USA)
I bought this effects pedal new at a reduced price.

The Danelectro D1 Fab distortion pedal is much better than my M15 amp's overdrive function!
This pedal provides long sustain and the three knobs-Level, Tone, and Distortion work well in shaping the sound. I really like the "dirty" distortion that I get.

Don't let the plastic construction fool you. Does anyone actually stomp on these pedals? I find the pedal to be durable and the button works easy enough.

Regarding another reviewer's observation about battery inclusion, I didn't receive a battery in the carton either.

I have no regrets about purchasing this Danelectro pedal and would recommend it.
