Product Description
The BBE Sonic Stomp is literally a BBE 482i-class processor in a pedal finally! Guitar and bass players have been begging for this for a long time and BBE nailed it. The Sonic Stomp may be powered by a 9V battery or the included power supply.'Incredible. Really brings out the mids and highs.'Buddy From Jacksonville, AR'Once you use it you aren't going to want to go back.'Temple Hill From New York, NY'WOW...I didn't want to stop playing.'Addison From Thumb of MichiganMany musicians don't have a spot for the rack mount unit, but long for the legendary clarity, definition and punch that only a Sonic Maximizer can provide. BBE took heed and carefully designed the Sonic Stomp foot pedal which delivers the same amazing sonic improvement as our popular 482i Sonic Maximizer.Other features include hard-wire bypass, non-slip rubber bottom, easy-access 9v battery compartment and included external power supply.

5 out of 5 stars Awesome tool for any guitarist   March 3, 2010

This pedal essentialy balances out the high, mid, and low frequencies yout instrument produces. I also have the software version of this effect on my DAW. This pedal does a great job of giving your instrument a more balanced and full tone. When I switch it on it allmost sounds like someone took a blanket off my amplifier. I highly recomend this pedal for and and all musicians.

5 out of 5 stars can't beleive the difference it makes   December 25, 2009

the sound coming from my speakers is so much cleaner and crisp. It's like pushing your bass boost button on your stereo on and off, that's the difference the sonic maximizer makes. Also the highs are so clean and crisp. Love it.

5 out of 5 stars Great pedal at the end of your FX chain   September 17, 2009
Mark Showalter (Gainesville, Florida United States)
This is a great pedal to put at the end of your FX chain. I have it as the last on my pedalboard before my GNX4. It's always on & it only took me about a week to settle on how I liked it adjusted. There are only two knobs & I just played around with them untill I was happy with the sound. I do a lot of recording & I also checked the sound after recording. Can't reccomend it enough especially considering the price.

4 out of 5 stars Great Pedal   April 11, 2009

I really like the pedal it does everything it said it would. It really beefs up my guitar sound I would suggest it for other people. I use it with my band 33DEGREE with 2 cabinets (1 Marshall 1 Basson) and an Ibanez S540 guitar

5 out of 5 stars This Pedal Is Always ON   March 24, 2009

I think my parents got me this pedal for a birthday or xmas event, I can't remember exactly but I've had this pedal for about 2 years now. First off, this pedal changed my sound dramatically BUT!!! I don't mean that in the sense of an actual effect appearing in my sound like fuzz or wah, instead, this pedal "cleaned" up my tone. With the pedal engaged my sound seems to liven up and become more colorful. Adjusting the knobs can turn my sound into a thin or dryer tone or a thick and full rounded deep tone. The pedal is very versatile for me. At first I could only hear a slight change but now that I've had my pedal for awhile and I've used it through many amps and hundreds of combinations of different effects and chains, I get frustrated if I don't have the pedal with me AT ALL TIMES. Thats how useful I've found this pedal to be. Secondly, here is my effects chain in exact order:

C-7 Hellraiser w/active EMG's or G&L Legacy w/passive G&L pickups > Tonebone Plexi Tube Distortion Pedal > MXR Stereo Chorus Pedal > BBE Sonic Maximizer > Ernie Ball Active Volume Pedal (I have a Korg Pitchblack tuner connected to the tuner out jack on the volume pedal) > Fender 65' Reverb Amp w/mesa power tubes

Third, this pedal works best (at least for me) at the front of an effects chain (by front I mean closest to the amp, farthest from the actual guitar). The brand of cables you use to connect your chain also affects the pedal's ability to liven up your tone. I have used lower end, inexpensive cables which actually muddied the sound when I engaged the BBE pedal, the more expensive cables did the opposite really bringing out the beauty of the sound. RIght now I connect my setup with Live Wire Elite cables and Monster cables (in all honesty I think I prefer the live wire elite cables rather than the monster). With these cables I have sound and tone that I absolutely LOVE! I believe every guitarist should have this pedal or a pedal that does the same thing (incase BBE isn't your swing). This pedal has done wonders for me and if someone stole it from me I'd buy another one in a heartbeat... and then track down the person who stole my first one and beat that person to a pulp. No joke. Have a great day :)
